Fort Bello

Founded in 2020, Fort Bello is a Veteran owned center. It is the largest Veterans center in the Dominican Republic to offer Health & Wellness treatment programs that focus on individual

whole health.

Fort Bello is also the first facility that offers inpatient, residential and non-residential programs to treat Veterans with physical and psychiatric disorders.

Fort Bello is located in a beautiful setting in Bonao, Dominican Republic. It is privately own on 11,000 tares (1,709 acres) surround by nature, mountains and

rivers.

Goals

Focus on improving functioning and enabling Veterans to lead full and meaningful lives in the community of their choice. Improving physical well- being such as weight management and controlling diabetes and hypertension as well as mental health well. The therapy can also improve social functioning and help Veterans develop new leisure skills. It can enhance creative expression and break down barriers for cultural expression.

Solutions

Fort Bello Health & Wellness focuses on Wellness and Triple R treatment (Recreation, Rehabilitation and Recovery)

Fort Bello Health & Wellness Therapeutic Recreation approach uses treatment, education and recreation services to help Veterans with illnesses, disabilities and other conditions to develop and use their leisure in ways that enhance their health, functional abilities, independence and quality of life.

Fort Bello Health & Wellness Rehabilitation approach is designed to increase independence and improve quality of life for persons with disabilities.

Fort Bello Health & Wellness Recovery approach to mental health care empowers the Veteran to take charge of his/her treatment and live a full and meaningful life.
