Fort Bello Health & Wellness

The program

A residential admission program built around three pillars.

Length of stay varies by individual, typically 30–90 days. Programs are personalized but follow a common structure.

01

Mental Health

Clinical care led by our on-staff psychologist with nursing support. Addresses:

  • Depression and major mood disorders
  • Anxiety, including PTSD and trauma response
  • Substance use disorders (alcohol, prescription medication)
  • Burnout and adjustment disorders
  • Co-occurring conditions
02

Recreational Programming

Movement and outdoor time are integrated into the daily schedule, not optional add-ons:

  • Daily morning movement (walks, light strength, stretching)
  • Hiking on the campus grounds and surrounding terrain
  • Group activities that build social rhythm
  • Quiet time and journaling
  • Family visit days (scheduled in advance)
03

Nursing & Medical Care

On-staff nurse for medication management, daily wellness checks, and coordination with our sister clinic LabRx for any laboratory testing or pharmacy needs. Acute medical issues are referred to iWellness Veterans Center in Santiago (1 hour away).

Daily structure

Mornings: movement + breakfast + clinical session. Midday: meal + recreational activity + rest. Afternoons: individual or group therapy. Evenings: meal + reflection + downtime. The schedule is designed to rebuild healthy circadian rhythm and remove the decision fatigue that often accompanies recovery.

Length of stay

We typically recommend 30, 60, or 90-day programs based on individual needs assessed during intake. Shorter respite stays are also available.
